April Showers

Kevin Zhu

I love the winter

But if I were to die,

I hope it ends with not snow but rain

that way I can still cast my eyes to the sky

even if it leaves me soaked, the rain will surely

have blessed another's blossoming.

I’ll stand in the rain

The flowing water over my eyes,

The world will be a myriad of colors,

Refracting the April skies.

And I’ll laugh and cry,

And the tears with the ripe rain

Will water the ground, the fresh soil

So that some day,

A single flower may bloom.
